The blackbird's days

One upon a time, on a cold stormy day, two white merlons were flying away. They were looking for a nest to warm up in any way. In a chimney, they found a home and take refuge from that storm. But the fireplace was lit and the smoke makes them all black. From that day, they remained black forever.
