Yesterday was the birthday of a writer, Simona Cocola. The Wandering, Wondering Writer has read and reviewed the first two of the novels she successfully published. The third one never came to her thanks to the British People who voted to go out from Europe in 2016!
I am sure Biancaluna is a really well written novel like the other two! Read it if you have a chance!
And the English version of the fairytale of 15 March 2023!
When the king saw all the hay turned to gold, he rushed the girl to another barn, in which a far greater amount of hay was piled. "If you value your life, work! Gold!" the king intimated to the maiden. The poor girl was in despair, but she immediately took hold of the dwarf who said, "What will you give me in return if I help you?" "My gold ring!" immediately replied the girl, and the little gnome set to work. The next morning, when the king saw all that mass of spun gold, he dragged the young girl with him and left her in a huge stable. "If you succeed in spinning all this hay into pure gold, you will become my wife!" the Sovereign made and departed. By now the girl owned nothing more and said to herself, "What on earth could I give the little man with the strange hood? I no longer own anything!" "You will give me your son!" said a little voice behind her: the little man stared at her with a wince. The girl agreed. The strange gnome set out to spin, and by dawn, the whole barn was filled with skeins of gold. The king arrived, was almost blinded by the splendor flooding the stable, and kept his promise: the girl became his bride!
